How to play
- Own Skyrim Special Edition on Steam (the Anniversary upgrade is fine). Vanilla install — no other mods. We run on 1.7.104, the version Steam gives you today: nothing to downgrade, nothing to pin.
- Create your SkyrimScape account — an email address and a password. There is a short human check on the form; it runs in your browser and talks to nobody but us. No confirmation email to wait for: the account works the moment you make it.
- Download SkyrimScape.exe above and put it anywhere (Desktop is fine). Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time: More info → Run anyway.
- Run it and sign in once with that email and password. The launcher remembers you after that, and it is what proves to the server that your character is yours — so there is no player ID to write down and nobody can log in as you. (If the launcher cannot show its own sign-in window it sends you to this site to sign in instead; same account either way.)
- It finds your game, installs SKSE if you don't have it (you'll be sent to the SKSE download page once — leave the file in your Downloads folder and the launcher installs it), pulls the SkyrimScape client, and starts the game.
- In game: wait at the main menu, you'll be dropped into the world as your character. Chat with
EnterorF6,F2hides the overlay.
Your account
- Up to three characters per account. The launcher's Characters screen is where you pick who to play, make a new one, or delete one you are done with — deleting asks you to type DELETE first, because it cannot be undone.
- Your characters, inventories and everything you have built are stored against your account, not against your PC — sign in on another machine and you are the same person.
- The player ID the game shows in the corner is issued by the server. It is not a password: knowing it gets nobody anywhere.
- Signed in somewhere you shouldn't be? Your account page lists every signed-in launcher and every live play session, and has a log out everywhere button that ends all of them at once.
- We never send you email. Forgotten passwords are reset by an admin — ask in the server chat.
Game versions
SkyrimScape runs on Skyrim Special Edition 1.7.104 — the current Steam build. You never have to downgrade, pin a depot, or keep a second copy of the game to play here.
The launcher checks your SkyrimSE.exe against what the client supports and tells you exactly what to do. When Bethesda patches the game, support moves forward from our side; when we patch the client or the launcher itself, it installs the change the next time you open it. There is never a new download to fetch from this page.
Connection
Server: login.skyrimscape.com, UDP 7700. The launcher configures this for you.
Trouble?
- Stuck on the main menu: the server may be down, your account may not be signed in, or your firewall blocks outbound UDP. Run the launcher again — it signs you in and repairs the client.
- "Sign in failed" or "session not found": sign out and back in from the launcher. A sign-in lasts twelve hours of play and the launcher renews it every time it starts the game.
- Crash on launch: run the launcher again (it repairs the client), and make sure no other mods are installed.
- Launcher can't write to the game folder: run it as administrator once, or move Skyrim out of Program Files.
